For many including myself this past year was full of ups and downs, especially with the recession but i'm hopeful that the new year brings hope and happiness to all. When times were tough, i tried to think of the bright side and reflected on all i DO have that many others DO NOT... and it helped put everything in perspective.

Well, with the way the U.S. economy has been, it was only a matter of time before i was effected - i find myself out of a full-time gig - but i'll remain positive and see this as the next step in my career. Hopefully there's some work for me out there... in the meantime, i'll enjoy some family time and strengthen my artistic skills for whatever job lies ahead.

Well, 2009 is here and times are getting tough!!! Thankfully, i'm

Barack Obama, a rookie senator from Illinois cloaked in a mantle of hope and change, was elected America's 44th President Tuesday night, November 4, 2008.

"Change has come to America," the President-elect promised. "A new dawn of American leadership is at hand."

No amount of name calling, baseless accusations and bitter blogging will change that Obama will be the first African-American Commander-In Chief, nor should it.
Hate and fear, division and judging are a HUGE waste of time. You get much more out of learning together how to co-exist and solve the problems our nation faces.

"Let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other," Obama said.
